A man makes the only shade available out of a sheet of paper.
On cracked concrete under a vertical sun, a man holds a large sheet of white paper flat above his head, and a crisp rectangle of shadow falls across his face and chest. Three colours, one figure, and a horizon low enough that the sky does most of the work.
This is the thesis picture of the series and the one people ask about. The figure is small on purpose — give it wall space rather than making it compete.
Created with AI image generation, colour-graded and prepared for print by hand. Open edition.
